READ ABOUT NATIONAL SERIES LAUNCH ON QVC APRIL 23!

Downingtown, PA – March, 2009 – What do you want to be when you grow up?  The Girls Know How® book series is scheduled to debut nationally on April 23, 7:00 - 9:00 AM ET* on QVC to help kids consider career opportunities and follow their dreams (QVC Item #F06995).  The launch date coincides with “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® Day,” a day dedicated to focusing on expanding future opportunities for all children in both their work and family lives.

Girls Know How® books encourage readers ages 8 to 12 to pursue the careers of their dreams. Each book within the fiction series features a girl presented with a challenge who is encouraged by an accomplished woman at the pinnacle of her career, a character based on a real-life successful woman.

“Girls can get big ideas from these books that will light their imaginations and show them how they can really make a difference with the careers they choose,” says Marcia Bullard, President and CEO of USA WEEKEND, who is profiled in the series’ first book, Will Stephanie Get the Story?  “I’m excited we might even see more women journalists because this book sparked an interest in the profession,” says Bullard.  A signed copy of that book, plus books that explore construction (Raising the Roof) and teaching (Smart Alex ) are featured in the debut set.

“We hope to inspire kids to follow their dreams by exposing them to a variety of careers, exceptional role models and characters who might be just like them,” says author and entrepreneur Ellen Langas Campbell, President of NouSoma Communications, Inc., Downingtown, PA .  An accomplished businesswoman, Langas Campbell previously was an original on-air host and corporate officer for QVC.

The first-edition book set will be available through QVC at 800-345-1515 or http://www.QVC.com while supplies last.
